Constraining Archetypes Patterns with OCL
Archetype Patterns are a new type of configurable pattern that describe reusable micro architectures within business systems. Each pattern is designed to provide an 80% (or higher) solution to a common business problem. The patterns have the unique feature that they may be configured to adapt them to specific business contexts. This talk will describe archetype patterns, the principles of pattern configuration, and how the patterns may be used in an MDA tool chain to generate significant portions of business applications.
The aim of this project is to support patterns configuration rules for the archetype patterns. The goal of the thesis is to define and implement a transformation from a graphical notation to converted to OCL. Below there are few slides with related concepts. More information about enterprise patterns, their rules and prototypic implementation in can be found in lecture slides.
